Are you ready to turn your farm-fresh products into a business?
Selling food from your farm or home is a great way to grow your income, but understanding the “who, what and how” of regulations can be a challenge. Join us for an informative session designed to help you navigate the legal landscape of local food sales.
We’ll be meeting May 27 beginning at 6 p.m. at AgCredit, Mt. Gilead.
What You’ll Learn:
- Direct-from-Farm Sales: Breaking down the rules for selling straight to the consumer.
- Cottage Foods 101: What you can (and cannot) sell from your home kitchen.
- GAPs Introduction: An overview of Good Agricultural Practices.
- Regulatory Roadmap: Understanding which agencies oversee prepackaged foods, eggs, meat, produce, and freeze-dried goods.
Who should attend? Whether you’re already selling or just starting out with cottage foods, eggs, meat, produce, prepackaged goods, or freeze-dried treats, this session is for you!
