Farm families are invited to attend a succession planning workshop Tuesday, Aug. 12 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Monroe County OSU Extension office, 46764 State Route 26, Woodsfield.
At the workshop, learn how to create a plan for the future transition of your farm’s ownership, management, and assets to the next generation.
Plus, Robert Moore, attorney, OSU Agricultural and Resource Law Program, will discuss the legal tools and strategies available for farm transition planning.
Workshop topics include: wills versus trusts, long-term care planning, LLCs, keeping land in the family, gifting, and estate taxes.
