Read MoreCy Prettyman of New Bloomington was re-elected Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s treasurer, the third-highest elected office in the state’s largest general farm organization. His election took place Dec. 7 during Ohio Farm Bureau’s 100th annual meeting. This is his third full term as treasurer.
He also was re-elected to represent members in his district, which encompasses Crawford, Marion, Morrow and Richland counties. He first joined the state board in 2012.
A 20-year member of Marion County Farm Bureau, Prettyman has served as its president and been active with local and state Pork Producers Councils and the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association. He also is a member of the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board.
Prettyman raises corn, soybeans and beef cattle with his family and is a sales specialist with Purina Animal Nutrition. He has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Ohio State University. He and his wife, Julie, have a daughter and son. They attend Trinity Evangelical UMC in Upper Sandusky.
Ohio Farm Bureau’s mission is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen the state’s communities.
