Though they are busy with their careers, agricultural operations, and families, they still manage to find time to put in some fantastic work for Farm Bureau and we appreciate all that they continue to do for our county and Ohio agriculture.
This week we would like to introduce you to Heather Lahmers.

What is your agriculture background?
I grew up on a small beef and grain farm in Holmes County. We also did a small amount of hay as well. FFA led me to college at Ohio State University ATI and while there, I worked for a large beef and grain operation where I eventually met my husband. My husband and I now have a custom farming operation. We also grain farm and produce about 1000 acres of corn and soybeans a year.

What are a few of the activities have you participated in with Farm Bureau?
Last year I helped purchase toys for the Toy Drive. I helped at a local farmers market with the Ashland Soil and Water. I was on the Scholarship Committee last year as well.
What is one interesting fact about yourself?
I love going to the beach with my family. Just playing with and watching my boys enjoy our time away is something I will always love.
Aside from Farm Bureau, are there other organizations you are involved in?
I’m not involved in much right now other than running my children to and from sports practices. I am on the Hillsdale Elementary PTO and just recently joined the Hillsdale Youth Wrestling Committee. I’m looking forward to becoming involved in 4-H again soon.
What is something you are looking forward to in 2023-2024?
I am excited for my oldest son to join 4-H. I was very much involved in 4-H growing up and I’m looking forward to getting involved again.
