In 1994, Joel Gerber helped Gerber Insurance grow and build its reputation for integrity and customer service. Emily Gerber, Joel’s daughter, joined the family business in 2006. She brought new insights and a passion for community service. In 2021, Emily opened up a permanent location in Waverly, Ohio to better service those living in Pike County. Emily also formed strategic collaborations with Cooper Insurance and Farleigh Insurance to expand services and reach more people. Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.

Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
