Clermont County Farm Bureau recently hosted a policy development meeting the morning of April 4 at the Ag Center Complex within the Clermont OSU Extension office. As a vital arm of the Ohio Farm Bureau, this gathering emphasized the grassroots commitment to fortify the region’s agricultural and food community. From the corridors of local governance to the chambers of state and federal legislature, Farm Bureau stands as a committed advocate for policies that nurture the future of farming.
Representatives from a handful of organizations gathered, including representatives from Clermont County Soil and Water, Clermont County Treasurer, State Treasurer’s Office, and Rep. Brad Wenstrup’s office. The discussions held during the meeting addressed areas of concern facing the agricultural community, touching upon key topics such as farmland preservation, H2Ohio, CAUV increases, workforce development, and rural mental health.
By fostering dialogue and collaboration across multiple sectors, Clermont County Farm Bureau continues to exemplify its mission of advocating for policies that empower its members and ensure the sustainability and vitality of agriculture in the region.
