Hannah Scott has been named the recipient of the 2024 Jamie Florea Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Clinton County Farm Bureau.
Scott is the daughter of Ryan and Erin Scott and is a Wilmington High School graduate. She plans to attend the University of Kentucky to pursue a degree in agriculture, with a concentration in food science.
During her time in high school, Scott was actively involved in various activities, including FFA, National Honor Society, Project Trust, the soccer team, the swim team, and the track and cross country teams.
Scott hopes to one day join the agriculture field. She said, “Agriculture plays the main role in feeding the world’s growing population and ensuring food security. Being part of this industry means I will contribute to a fundamental human need.”
Clinton County Farm Bureau is proud to support the youth of Clinton County and their advancement in education. Congratulations, Hannah!
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

We really appreciate what Farm Bureau has done to get people interested in this line of work and workforce development and getting people interested in this industry.
We work terrifically with the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau, hosting at least one to two outreach town hall events every year to educate new farmers and existing farmers on traditional CAUV and woodlands.
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
