Fairfield County Farm Bureau

Fairfield County Farm Bureau will host a meeting with county officials, area business owners, farmers, and concerned citizens of Fairfield County to discuss issues within the county that may impact our agricultural industry, and we want to hear from you.

The meeting will take place Feb. 16, 2026, at 8 a.m. on the campus of Ohio University, Lancaster,1570 Granville Pike, Lancaster, OH 43130. We will be in Brasee Hall (Main Building), Room 227.

We’ve witnessed growth and expansion in our county over the past few years, and we understand this is adding pressure on our farmers and agricultural businesses as they establish their plans for the future. Our goal is to create policies that would allow us to address these issues to the best of our ability. According to the 2022 USDA Census, agricultural sales in Fairfield County were shown to be greater than $160 million, making agriculture a key economic driver in the county.

Many of you have shared with us your concerns with the expansion of businesses and residential growth of Franklin County and the Columbus area into Fairfield County, but we know there is more we haven’t heard about. Here is your opportunity to make us aware of those concerns. Please contact the county Farm Bureau office at 740-474-6284 or [email protected] by Feb. 12 to reserve your seat at the table.

If you are unable to attend but would like to notify us of potential policy recommendations, please complete this form and mail it to: Fairfield County Farm Bureau, 24633 U.S. Hwy 23 S, Circleville, OH 43113.

Thank you for all you do to make Fairfield County a better place.

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
