Read MoreThe Ohio Agriculture Conservation Initiative (OACI), in which Ohio Farm Bureau is a member, welcomes the recent expansion of the H2Ohio farmer incentive program into 10 additional Western Lake Erie Basin counties, including Seneca, Huron, Erie, Wyandot, Richland, Shelby, Sandusky, Marion, Ottawa and Crawford. This brings the total number of counties eligible for the program to 24.
OACI and the Ohio Department of Agriculture will host upcoming, in-person meetings to explain H2Ohio’s expansion in the Maumee Watershed and how agriculture and conservation fit into the program’s goals and priorities. Note that some meetings may take place at county fairs and may require an admission ticket to the fair, and some meetings require RSVPs.
Upcoming meetings for producers will be held on the following dates:
Meetings for ag retailers will be smaller gatherings to discuss voluntary nutrient management plan requirements and are not intended for producer participation. The next one will be Aug. 17 in Richland County.
Please contact your county Soil and Water Conservation District office for full details on a particular meeting.
This list will be updated as new meetings are added.
