Brown County Farm Bureau initiates local efforts in agricultural policy development

Ag Day at the Capital is one of Ohio Farm Bureau’s long-lasting traditions – allowing Farm Bureau members and board trustees to meet with state representatives, elected officials, and the legislature. During this day-long event, Farm Bureau members from all over the state of Ohio meet at the capital building in downtown Columbus and have discussions regarding Farm Bureau priority issues such as eminent domain and broadband. This annual event embodies the grassroots efforts of our organization.
To recap, here is a reflection of what one local board president shared about his experience at Ag Day at the Capital. Brown County Farm Bureau Board President Chris Rogers stated that the meetings with Ohio State Representatives Adam Bird and Brian Baldridge were very positive with great intentions of moving the agricultural industry forward in the state of Ohio.
Additionally, Brown County members stated that Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy also had a great perspective on the priority issues of the Ohio Farm Bureau.
