Clermont County Farm Bureau initiates local efforts in agricultural policy development

The Clermont County Farm Bureau, Eastside Agricultural Collective and Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a self-guided farm tour on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Eight diverse farms and markets opened their gates and doors for the public to experience local agriculture firsthand. They took this opportunity to meet local farmers, taste farm-fresh food, learn stewardship and farm skills from experts, and explore the fields of local farms.

Many Clermont County Farm Bureau members were able to showcase the products and services that they offer to the public eye and educate them on agriculture. In reflection, Flourish and Roam farm owners Josh and Sarah Ison said, “We were blown away by the number of people who came down the driveway today wanting to connect with a farmer and ask genuine questions. It lights a fire in our souls and fuels our passion for connecting with people while raising regeneratively raised meats.”
Overall, it was a great day to throw on your favorite fall outfit, pull up your boots, pack a cooler and the camera! This was an adventure that is sure to be looked back on with fond memories.
