Read MoreThe Golden Owl Award is presented by Ohio FFA, Ohio Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Mid-America, Ag Credit and Nationwide Insurance. This award recognizes agricultural educators for their tremendous contributions in preparing the next generation of leaders who will change the world. Farm Bureau was excited to be a part of this award presented to Kayla Richter, Monroe Central FFA instructor. The Golden Owl allows Farm Bureau to extend its support to agricultural educators who devote countless hours and often their own resources to impact their students.
In the fall there were 521 nominations received for 126 different teachers throughout Ohio. Ten teachers were selected as finalists, and we are extremely proud that Kayla Richter was selected as one of the top 10. Richter will receive $500 in support of her local FFA Chapter.
