Sarah Bolte

Sarah Bolte is the owner and operator of Arlington Acres, a northwest Ohio barn wedding venue and pumpkin farm.

A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences with a degree in agribusiness and applied economics, Bolte started her career working in politics at the Ohio House of Representatives and then in campaign finance for the Ohio Senate, the Ohio Auditor of State as well as congressional and PAC campaigns.

In 2019 Sarah and her husband, John, ventured into the agritourism sphere when they hosted a wedding for a co-worker in the old barn on their family farm. In 2020 they renovated the 1870’s barn on their property and since then have hosted over 100+ weddings for couples through Ohio, Michigan, and all over the United States.

She is actively involved in the Ohio Farm Bureau, serves on the Seneca County Central Committee and is member of the Seneca County Young Professionals, Seneca County Republican Women and St. Mary’s Church.

Sarah and John, along with their three little girls, live in Tiffin on their family grain and livestock farm.

“As a small business owner in agriculture, Farm Bureau has given me the tools I need to successfully run my business and stayed ahead of the game lobbying on my behalf both in Columbus and Washington, D.C.” – Sarah Bolte

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
