Who can attend the Winter Leadership Experience?

The Winter Leadership Experience is officially open to Ohio Farm Bureau members of all ages!

Historically, this premier event was reserved exclusively for members ages 18–35. However, the high-caliber farm and career insights shared here are too valuable to limit. Following a successful expansion in 2025, we are thrilled to open our doors to our entire membership community again for 2027.

We look forward to you joining us in 2027 to learn and share wisdom across generations.

Can a non-Farm Bureau member attend with me?

Winter Leadership Experience is one of many benefits offered exclusively for Ohio Farm Bureau members. Individuals who are not yet members but would like to attend the conference may join online here or contact their county Farm Bureau about joining.

Are there options to help me cover the cost to attend?

Yes, several county Farm Bureaus offer full or partial ‘scholarships’ to help make the Winter Leadership Experience more accessible to local members. Contact your county Farm Bureau to learn more.

Is a hotel room included with my conference registration?

In an effort to keep the conference financially accessible, general registration is largely subsidized by Ohio Farm Bureau and additional expenses such as a hotel room are not included within the registration total.

Ohio Farm Bureau has secured a group discounted rate at Hilton Columbus Downtown at $225 per night plus taxes and fees available for booking while supplies last through Jan. 5. Optionally, attendees are also welcome to compute or find alternative lodging options at their own discretion.

Is child care provided at the conference?
Yes, we are thrilled to offer complimentary, onsite child care so you can fully focus on your conference experience.

To ensure peace of mind, we have partnered with Sitting Made Simple, a professional, third-party sitter service who fully vets each of their sitters with a background check and required infant and child first-aid and CPR certifications.

If you plan to bring your children, simply let us know via the conference registration form so we can secure the appropriate number of sitters.

Do I need to sign up for breakout sessions ahead of time?

No, you do not need to sign up for specific breakout sessions ahead of time. You are welcome to attend whichever breakout session most interests you.

I thought tours are free, why am I being asked to pay $50?

They are free! The $50 fee is a fully refundable deposit required only to hold your spot, as seating is limited. As soon as you join us onsite for your Friday afternoon tour, the full $50 will be refunded to your original form of payment.

The Ohio Farm Bureau is proudly covering all associated expenses (like charter bus fees and event tickets) to make these tours possible at no cost to you. The deposit simply ensures that every available seat goes to an attendee who plans to come.
