Each year the county Farm Bureau awards scholarships to undergraduate Farm Bureau members who exhibit academic excellence and outstanding leadership and community involvement. Applicants are scored based on involvement in activities, clubs, honors and awards, community service, work experience, Farm Bureau membership history and engagement, and their responses to essays related to the Farm Bureau’s mission and purpose. A major in agriculture or a support field is preferred but not required.
We are pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Ashtabula County Farm Bureau scholarships. Congratulations to Mason Mazzaro, Austin Stringfellow, Sharon Millard and Allison Graves.
Mason Mazzaro is a recipient of a $1000 scholarship. Mason is the son of Tom and Charity Mazzaro from Williamsfield. He graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School in 2019 and attends The Ohio State University where he studies agribusiness and applied economics.
Austin Stringfellow is a recipient of a $1000 scholarship. Austin is the son of Marc and Anita Stringfellow of Jefferson. Austin is a 2020 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and will be continuing his education at the University of Northwest Ohio pursuing a degree in agricultural mechanics.
Sharon Millard is a recipient of a $500 scholarship. Sharon is the daughter of Annette and Robert Millard of Pierpont. Sharon is a 2017 graduate of Buckeye Online School for Success and will be a junior at Kentucky Christian University earning a degree in business administration.
Allison Graves is the recipient of a $500 scholarship. Allison is the daughter of Adam and April Graves of Jefferson. Allison is a 2020 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and will be attending Youngstown State University pursuing a career in nursing.
