The Highland County Farm Bureau had a busy day Aug. 20! The board trustees and county staff welcomed visitors to the Farmers Market in downtown Hillsboro to the smell of fresh farm eggs and sausage on the griddle. Youth were invited in to paint a flower pot to take home with them.
Mid-morning the sign ups began for the pedal tractor pulls. Kids of all ages gave it their best and we heard “full pull” several times throughout the event! Special thanks to the Fullenkamps with Happy Hogs Farm for providing the delicious sausage, Board President Evan Davis for the eggs and the Highland County Antique Machinery Club for coming in for the pedal tractor pulls!
