Pet Vaccination Clinic

Is your pet behind on his or her vaccines? Do you need to make an appointment to get your pet up to date, but just haven’t had the time?

Trumbull County Farm Bureau has partnered with several local businesses and groups to provide a convenient pet clinic to help get your pets caught up on their vaccines, or even just to get their yearly vaccines. We invite you and your furry friends to join us 9 a.m. to noon March 11 at Family, Farm and Home, 3850 Elm Road, Warren, for our pet clinic. Dr. Beth Ady from Gustavus Veterinary Services will provide vaccines and microchipping for cats and dogs at great prices.

Please note: dogs must be on a leash at all times and cats must be in a carrier.

We expect this event to be a success, so there may be waiting times. Please be patient. But if your pet doesn’t do well around others, please come in to register prior to bringing your pet in.

Any vaccine history on your pet should come with you that day, but please note that puppies younger than 12 weeks can only receive DAPP.

Cash, credit and debit cards are accepted.

If you need any assistance that day, we are more than willing to help.

Are you currently a Farm Bureau member? If you are a paid Farm Bureau member or join/renew, your pets will receive these services at significantly discounted rates. Nonmembers can also receive these vaccines and although the cost for nonmembers is a little more, it is still relatively inexpensive to keep your pets protected.

Not only will your pets be able to receive their vaccines to keep them healthy, but any vaccinated pet will also receive a free bag of Nurture Farms dog or cat food courtesy of Family, Farm and Home.

If you are not currently a Farm Bureau member, but renew, or even join Trumbull County Farm Bureau, you will receive a $10 Family, Farm and Home gift card.

In addition, for attending the event, joining, renewing, bringing nonmember friends, signing up new members and more, all will qualify you for extra tickets to be entered into a drawing for an RTIC cooler.

Services provided that day will be canine rabies (one-year and three-year), canine distemper (DAPP), canine distemper (DAPP+L), lyme vaccine, lepto vaccine, heartworm and tick disease test and microchipping. Feline services will be rabies (one-year and three-year), feline FVRCP, feline leukemia (FeLV) and microchipping.

Finally, we will collect supplies for the Trumbull County Dog Pound. Their wish list includes Redford Naturals dry dog food, large sturdy leashes, medium and large sturdy Martingale collars and harnesses, small blankets, dog treats, dog toys, bleach, laundry soap, Pine-Sol, Dawn dish soap, paper towels and gas cards for transports.

We want to thank those collaborating this event with us — Trumbull County Farm Bureau, Nationwide, Gustavus Veterinary Services, Family, Farm and Home, and the Trumbull County Dog Warden.

If you have any questions about this event, reach out to 440-426-2195 or email.

OFBF Mission: Working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.

Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.

I appreciate the benefit of having a strong voice in my corner. The extras that are included in membership are wonderful, but I'm a member because of the positive impact to my local and state agricultural communities.

Strong communities
I see the value and need to be engaged in the community I live in, to be a part of the decision-making process and to volunteer with organizations that help make our community better.

Leadership development
Farm Bureau involvement has taught me how to grow my professional and leadership experience outside of the workforce and how to do that in a community-centric way.

With not growing up on a farm, I’d say I was a late bloomer to agriculture. I feel so fortunate that I found the agriculture industry. There are so many opportunities for growth.

Growing our Generation
Knowing that horticulture is under the agriculture umbrella and having Farm Bureau supporting horticulture like it does the rest of ag is very important.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
