Athens-Meigs Landowner Meeting 2025

Athens-Meigs County Farm Bureau held its 92nd annual meeting Aug. 24, 2023 at the Meigs County Fairgrounds Rutland Bottled Gas building. Thirty members and guests attended the meeting where action was taken on the organization’s policy priorities, elections were held and special achievements were recognized. Farm Bureau leaders addressed the meeting.
Farm Bureau members discussed the opportunity for policy, but did not have any current proposed policies.
There was no one elected to the county board of trustees, but one open seat remains. Elected to serve as delegates to the state annual meeting were Tammi Goeglein, Hannah Thompson and Jenna Montle.
Athens-Meigs County Farm Bureau Vice President Hannah Thompson discussed the achievements from the previous year, including two successful 4th grade ag days, public policy meetings and two scholarship recipients along with much more.
Ohio Farm Bureau State Trustee Karin Bright talked about the importance of a Farm Bureau membership and the importance of having a grassroots organization.
Organization Director Ashley Kasler recognized the county board of trustees and their hard work throughout the year to make the programs a success.
The mission of the Ohio Farm Bureau is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.
