USDA Farm Service Agency offers assistance programs for Ohio farm operations impacted by drought

Read MoreIn 2022, Muskingum County Farm Bureau started the process of making improvements to their displays and activities in the Three Gables Building at the Muskingum County Fair. Titling this project “Building for the Future of Agriculture,” the county received several grants to fund new displays, activities, and an intern. The improvements were a huge success!
Following their success, the county Farm Bureau re-applied and were awarded the Work Force Development and Ag Literacy Grant through the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation for the 2024 program year. These funds will allow the county Farm Bureau to continue this project and add a set of virtual reality headsets with immersive programs.
It takes one experience to spark a child’s interest in a topic. Muskingum County Farm Bureau hopes that these outreach efforts will increase young people’s interest in agriculture. It is important to show our young people the many opportunities in agriculture.
