2024 Scholarship winners

Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau is proud to officially announce our 2024 Betty Hansen Memorial Scholarship winners! The recipients are Luke Przybys and Carter Zimmerman. Each scholarship recipient went through an application process and committee review to qualify. Please join Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau in congratulating each of these hard working students!

Luke is a 2022 Saint Ignatius High School Graduate and is currently attending Ohio Wesleyan University majoring in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Pre-Medicine. Luke has been awarded $1,000 from the Betty Hansen Memorial Scholarship. 

 

Carter Zimmerman

Carter Zimmerman

Carter is a 2021 Saint Ignatius High School graduate and is currently attending The Ohio State University with a Logistics & Operations Management major. He has been awarded $1,000 from the Betty Hansen Memorial Scholarship. Carter also attended Ohio Farm Bureau’s Ag Day at the Capital in February 2024 representing Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau. 

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

We work terrifically with the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau, hosting at least one to two outreach town hall events every year to educate new farmers and existing farmers on traditional CAUV and woodlands.
