Community members from Morrow and surrounding counties visited Spring Valley Farm to learn about their dairy operation and the industry. Visitors got to see a dairy farm in action and learned about animal care, nutrition, farm operations, and where dairy products come from. Visitors also got to see many aspects of the farm including the calves, feed mixing, cow barn, milking parlor, and even manure management.
At the end of the tour, visitors enjoyed grilled cheese, ice cream and cookies: all foods that include dairy products. Thank you to Spring Valley Farm and the Creswell’s for hosting this year’s tour!
