Read MoreIn 2024, Lawrence County Farm Bureau hosted its 2nd Annual Farm to Fork event with a focus on the importance of agriculture education. The 2023 – 2024 award recipient, Chesapeake Elementary, shared their experiences from the funds! Funds raised are allocated for agriculture education available to Lawrence County schools.
2024-25 Funds will be used to:
-Provide each Lawrence County elementary school with the American Farm Bureau Book of the Year, “My Grandpa, My Tree, and Me,” supporting curriculum, and Ag Mags to share with students.
-A scholarship opportunity to support elementary teachers, K-5, with an Agriculture in Your Classroom project. The Lawrence County Farm Bureau Impact Fund will award two $250 scholarships to support an agriculture experience.

Scholarship applications are due April 15, 2025. The winner will be invited to this year’s Farm to Fork event, in the fall.
