The Adams County Commissioners—Barbara Moore, Kelly Jones, and Jason Hayslip—officially proclaimed March 16-22, 2025, as National Agriculture Week, recognizing the role agriculture plays in the local and national economy. Members of the Adams County Farm Bureau attended the March 17 commissioners’ meeting, presenting a basket of locally grown and produced goods along with educational materials about National Ag Week. The proclamation was read in the presence of County Board President Brett Barton, County Farm Bureau Vice President and OSU Extension 4-H Educator Kristy Watters, OSU Extension Ag Natural Resources Educator Jenny Stoneking, and Organization Director Heather Utter. The motion to approve the proclamation was made by Commissioner Jason Hayslip and seconded by Commissioner Kelly Jones. As we celebrate National Ag Week, please take a moment to appreciate the hard work of farmers.
