Butler County Farm Bureau

The following proposed policies will be voted on during our Annual Social on Sept. 11, 2025 at the Seven Mile Winery. Voting will only take place during the meeting, and only members who are present may vote.

NEW LOCAL & STATE POLICY

  1. We support efforts to reduce or abolish property taxes for all Ohio residents.
  2. We encourage the removal of Wildlife species that pose a threat to humans and domestic animals.
  3. We support the elimination of landscaping that obstructs the line of sight on all roundabouts or other structures placed on or near them.
  4. We encourage that inspection of bees moving across state lines should be mandatory before entering the state to control harmful diseases and devastating local bee colonies.
  5. We support C.O.O.L. labeling of Agricultural producers to include honey to promote purity and consumer assurance of quality.
  6. We support food sales from Micro Enterprises Home businesses that follow state laws to provide safe and convenient food in food desert areas.
  7. We suggest that all losses of agricultural assets be deductible from taxes, whether local, state, or national.
To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
