The social and happy half hour began at 5:30 p.m. before Geauga County Farm Bureau President Bob Rogish welcomed all 111 members and guests to the meeting. The dinner was provided by Back 40 BBQ with a guest speaker from Geauga County Mental Health & Recovery Services.
Board of Trustees were voted on and elected for a two-year term. Those elected were Hannah Deliere, Sara Lehman, Sarah O’Dell and Bob Rogish. Rich Ivans and Kevin Taylor were elected to serve as delegates for the Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in 2026.
Farm Bureau members voted on the policies that guide the county Farm Bureau and established member positions for proposals to Ohio Farm Bureau, which will be voted on at the 2025 Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December.
A few code changes were presented and all passed, including a dues increase to $120 effective Dec. 1, 2025.
Tim Cermak announced the 2025 scholarship winners: Brittany Adams, who was present; Garrett Hastings, not present; Rachel O’Reilly, represented by her parents; Dennis Bergansky, who was present; and Tatumn and Taylor Poff, who both were present.
The annual meeting was also a celebration of the work our members, volunteers and staff put into representing our Mission Statement: “Working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.”
