2026 Ag Day at the Capital

Hundreds of Ohio Farm Bureau members, including representatives from Belmont County Farm Bureau, gathered in downtown Columbus to meet one-on-one with their state senators and representatives during Ohio Farm Bureau’s annual Ag Day at the Capital Feb. 18.

2026 Ag Day at the CapitalDuring the event, Ohio Farm Bureau unveiled its 2026 priority issues, including the preservation of Ohio’s farmland, smart and sound land use legislation, transparency and uniformity on the critical Current Agricultural Use Value (CAUV) program, and further investment of Ohio’s food supply chain. Members also discussed a range of community-specific and agriculture-related issues with their representatives and leaders. 

Vice President Mike Burkhart, Public Policy Chair Frank Shaffer and Young Ag Professional Lydia Fuchs were there on behalf of Belmont County Farm Bureau and visited with Rep. Ron Ferguson, Rep. Ty Moore and Sen. Brian Chavez (pictured above) during their time in Columbus.
