Every year, Clinton Farm Bureau honors a member who has gone above and beyond to serve the county Farm Bureau as well as the agricultural community. We recognize these individuals at the county annual meeting, and they are recognized in a slide show at the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting. This year’s winner is Christine Shanholtz.
Shanholtz has been a member of Clinton County Farm Bureau since 2020. She is currently serving as county Farm Bureau president. She is learning farming from her dad, Larry, of Shanholtz Farms. Her full-time job is a home health physical therapist.
“Farm Bureau is a wonderful opportunity for volunteering, networking and advocating for farmers and Clinton County ag. We have a strong board that is always looking for new and better programming. My favorite programs…well, all of them! I love the Corn Festival, our Ladies Ag Appreciation Dinner was super, and I can’t wait for next year. So proud of our Betterhelp program for farmers’ mental health, and our Young Ag programming is picking up too. I hope our board continues to grow with more of our 25-35 year olds,” she said.
