2022 Lorain County annual meeting

The 2022 Lorain County annual meeting was held at the Wellington Eagles with 80 members in attendance. The annual meeting was a chance to reflect on our 2022 accomplishments, recognize our special award recipients, celebrate our members and volunteers and set the course for Lorain County Farm Bureau for 2023.

Members were asked to review the candidates’ information for the board of trustees and OFBF annual meeting delegates for 2023. They also reviewed the slate of policies for the county, state and national levels. Robert Beekman, Jason Schriver, Tim Gest and Anthony Savage were re-elected to the county board of trustees and all policies passed.

2022 Lorain County annual meetingHannah DiVencenzo was chosen by the county board as the 2022 Member of Distinction!  Hannah helps lead our county Farm Bureau efforts on CAUV.  Entertainment was provide by comedian, Jay Hendren, who did a wonderful job at making us laugh.

Lorain County Farm Bureau partnered with Lorain County Community College this year to promote a Hay Bale Contest at the 2022 Lorain County Fair.

The Lorain County Farm Bureau annual meeting was held with the Lorain County Soil & Water Conservation District. It was a perfect example of our members working together for Ohio farmers as we continue to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.

Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
