In honor of National Ag Day, Zach Sollars, Ryan Hiser, Charlie Miller, Jared Persinger and Gus Bonham from Fayette County read the book “My Family’s Corn Farm” by Katie Olthoff to 180 kindergarteners at Miami Trace Elementary.
The farmers shared about their farm, showed the students a can of sweet corn and a bag of field corn and explained the difference, read the book, and answered questions.
Each student received an ‘I Met A Farmer Today’ sticker and coloring sheet, and each teacher received a copy of the book and educator guide for their classroom.

Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
