Lorain County Farm Bureau sponsors grants to enhance the appreciation of agriculture throughout Lorain County. Teachers from any grade level in Lorain County Schools or any school whose district includes a portion of Lorain County may apply.
The Lorain County Farm Bureau Ag Awareness Classroom Grant is for the teaching of subjects concerning agriculture. These subjects relate to crop and livestock production, our society’s use of agricultural products, land management, the environment, and careers in agriculture.
Applications will be accepted twice a year. Application deadlines are June 30 and Jan. 31. The applicant will be notified of the county Farm Bureau decision within 45 days of the application deadline.
The maximum grant value per applicant and per program in any one year is $250. Grant recipients must include Farm Bureau as a source of funding on all promotional materials. Grant recipients will be required to provide a one-page program summary within one month of completion to Lorain County Farm Bureau.
