Highland County Farm Bureau announces 2025 scholarship opportunities

On the evening of Aug. 7, Highland County Farm Bureau came together for its annual meeting, hosted at the picturesque Lake View Loft in Hillsboro. Members were treated to dinner catered by Chaddanooga BBQ, setting the stage for enjoyable fellowship and community togetherness. Following the meal, the business meeting began. Members engaged in the essential process of voting on policy changes, electing trustess and 2024 annual meeting delegates, and extended a well-deserved recognition to volunteers. The 2023 scholarship recipients Matthew Gossett, Samuel Hamilton and Sydney Hamilton were recognized. The evening provided the opportunity to recap the year’s accomplishments and featured a special address by Brian Baldridge, director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, adding a touch of significance to the event.
