Read MoreGallia County Farm Bureau, Gallia SWCD, and Gallia OSU Extension hosted a Cottage Food Workshop April 3 at the Gallia County Ag Center meeting room.
The workshop started off with lunch and an introduction of those helping to facilitate the meeting. The floor was then turned over to Emily Marrison from OSU Extension in Coshocton County, who talked about Cottage Law, what can and can’t be produced and sold out of your home along with the reasons why! Once Marrison concluded her portion of the meeting, she turned the floor over to Josh Sherwood and Jacob Morris with the Gallia County Health Department to answer any of the local-based questions. A Q&A session was held between those who attended and the three speakers to follow up with any other questions.
It was a great event with 24 individuals in attendance!
