Read MoreThe John Wallace and James Wallace Douglas Scholarship was established in 2025 in memory of John Wallace and James Wallace Douglas by wife and mother Loretta J. Douglas.
John and Loretta grew up in agricultural communities in North Dakota and their son, James, was born in a North Dakota agricultural community. John and James enjoyed gardening, preferring to grow much of their own produce, plus extra to share with friends. Loretta is a retired Trumbull County educator. John and Loretta enjoyed traveling throughout their retirement and have been long-standing Trumbull county Farm Bureau members.
This scholarship provides support to deserving individuals, opening the door to education by removing the financial barriers that may keep someone from pursuing a career in agriculture or related fields and/or obtaining the training needed to grow their skillset within the agricultural workforce.
The application opens Jan. 1, 2026.
