John and Loretta grew up in agricultural communities in North Dakota and their son, James, was born in a North Dakota agricultural community. John and James enjoyed gardening, preferring to grow much of their own produce, plus extra to share with friends. Loretta is a retired Trumbull County educator. John and Loretta enjoyed traveling throughout their retirement and have been long-standing Trumbull county Farm Bureau members.
This scholarship provides support to deserving individuals, opening the door to education by removing the financial barriers that may keep someone from pursuing a career in agriculture or related fields and/or obtaining the training needed to grow their skillset within the agricultural workforce.
