Read MoreFrank Burkett III of Massillon was re-elected president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, the state’s largest general farm organization. This will be his third full term as president, which is Ohio Farm Bureau’s highest elected office. His re-election took place Dec. 7 during the organization’s 100th annual meeting.
He also was re-elected District 9 trustee, representing members from Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage and Stark counties.
Previously, Burkett served as Ohio Farm Bureau’s first vice president and treasurer and has been a board member since 2007.
A long-time member of the Stark County Farm Bureau, Burkett has served as trustee, policy development chairman and farm tour chairman. He is a past board member for the Ohio Dairy Producers Association and a member of Rivertree Christian Church. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Ohio State University with a major in agricultural systems management and a minor in agricultural economics.
Burkett, in partnership with three uncles, co-owns and manages Clardale Farms, Inc., a dairy and crop farm. He recently became co-owner of Hills Supply, a well-known dairy supply company.
Ohio Farm Bureau’s mission is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen the state’s communities.
