American Farm Bureau offers STEM educator opportunities

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture has announced two On The Farm professional development events for educators in 2019. The events are designed for those who work in STEM and have a limited background in agriculture. Applications are now open at http://www.onthefarmstem.com.

“We encourage our local educators to review these training programs to broaden their knowledge about our food and fiber system designed to bring science to life,” said Gayle Hansen, Cuyahoga Farm Bureau Vice President. “We hope you will take time to review an On the Farm professional development event.”

Participants will visit farms and ranches, meet with farmers, learn from researchers and experts in the field, and engage in open dialogue with a common goal of bringing STEM learning to life for students of all ages.
