Farm Bureau at the Morrow County Fair

Morrow County Farm Bureau would like to invite everyone to visit the Morrow County Fair Aug. 31- Sept. 2 at the Morrow County Fairgrounds located at 195 S. Main St., Mt. Gilead. A schedule of fair events can be found here. Check out this year’s Farm Bureau sponsored events!

Barnyard Olympics is a fun obstacle course where teams test their aim and agility. Barnyard Olympics will begin on Friday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. in the small arena. All participants will receive a $3 voucher to use at the Cattlemen’s Stand, Dairy Association Stand, or Pork Stand!

Morrow County Farm Bureau will, once again, have a display tent on the corner outside the commercial building! The tent will be open daily from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Farm Bureau will have a trivia wheel you can spin for prizes. There will also be a Scavenger Hunt across the fairgrounds, so get your questions sheet and look for the signs as you tour the 2024 Morrow County Fair. Turn your completed sheets in at the display tent to receive a prize. We are offering your choice of a FREE hat or T-shirt if you join Morrow County Farm Bureau or renew your membership at the fair. The sandbox and toys for children to play with will also be back at the fair this year. It is located outside of the Youth Building.

Come and join all the fun happening at this year’s Morrow County Fair. Morrow County Farm Bureau is a proud supporter of the Junior Fair and would like to wish good luck to all of the participants showing their livestock and home projects at the fair. Farm Bureau will also be purchasing animals at the livestock sale.

The plan we are on is great. It’s comparable to my previous job's plan, and we are a sole proprietor.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
