On Monday during the fair, board members came together to host the first annual Livestock Scavenger Hunt. Kids were given a list of various livestock questions. The answers were found throughout the various livestock barns. Kids teamed up and went off looking for answers. There were 28 kids that took part in the activity!
On Wednesday and Thursday of the fair, board members hosted the 2nd annual Pee Wee Livestock Clinic. Wednesday, kids were able to learn about a feeder calf, walk a goat, walk a sheep and walk a pig. Thursday, the kids were able to learn about as well as work with chickens and rabbits. The goal of these activities is to allow the kids to have hands-on experiences with the animals, but to also try and get an idea of what animal they may want to take in 4-H!
The mission of Ohio Farm Bureau is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.
