Two scholarship programs are offered for 2025: Betty Hansen Memorial Scholarship and Cuyahoga Partnership Scholarship. Please see the details for each program below.

Betty Hansen Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1992, the Betty Hansen Memorial Scholarship Program honors Betty Hansen for her leadership as a former president and board member of the Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau, as well as her lifelong dedication to agriculture as a greenhouse farmer in Cuyahoga County. This scholarship provides financial assistance to Farm Bureau members or their dependent children pursuing a college or advanced technical education, with preference given to students entering an agriculture-related field. However, students pursuing general studies are also encouraged to apply.

Partnership Scholarship

The Cuyahoga Farm Bureau and Cuyahoga County Fair Partnership are pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving graduating senior from Cuyahoga County. This scholarship will be awarded during the opening ceremony of the 2025 Cuyahoga County Fair, and the recipient is encouraged to attend.

Eligibility & Application Details:

• The applicant must be a resident of Cuyahoga County.
• Assisted in any capacity during fair week, participated as a fair exhibitor or participated in a youth organization at the county fair for at least one fair season.
• Must be enrolled at a college, university, or technical school in Ohio.
• Available on a non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, sex, ethnicity, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
• This is a non-renewable scholarship; recipients may only receive this award once.
• Application Deadline: July 1, 2025
