Geauga County Farm Bureau is offering scholarship opportunities to students pursuing post-high school education. The number of acceptable qualifying applications determines the scholarship amount.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants do not have to be enrolled in an agricultural field of study.
- The applicant must be either a current Geauga County Farm Bureau member or a family member whose parents/guardian is a current Geauga County Farm Bureau member at the time of applying and at the time of scholarship payout.
- Applicants must be a part-time or a full-time enrollee of an accredited 2 or 4-year college, university, or technical school.
- Prior recipients may reapply, but may receive a scholarship no more than four (4) times.
Important Info
- Recipients of a scholarship or a representative must attend the Farm Bureau Annual
Meeting held in September. If unable to attend, the county board/office must be notified at least 24 hours before. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the scholarship. - Recipients or their parent/guardian must work at least one shift in the Farm Bureau tent at the county fair during the award year.
- Applications must be completed entirely by the applicant. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to generate responses or content is not permitted and may result in disqualification.

No handwritten forms will be accepted. The fillable form is available online or by emailing
the county Farm Bureau office.
Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026.

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
