Read MoreOn July 29, guests attended the 2020 Crawford County Carcass Show held at Link’s Country Meats in Crestline. Dr. Lyda Garcia, from Ohio State, and a member of the Ohio State Meat Judging Team, placed beef, pork, lamb and goat carcasses. These animals included the Grand and Reserve Champions of each species that were exhibited at the county fair the previous week along with grower entries. Winners received cash prizes.

Garcia explained to the guests how the carcasses were evaluated and emphasized the importance of marbling in beef and the percentage of saleable product in all species.
Link’s Country Meats, Crawford County Farm Bureau and Crawford County Cattlemen’s Association partnered on the event to make it possible for the youth of Crawford County.
