Montgomery County Farm Bureau proudly presents its 2020 Scholarship Award winners

 

Ryan Michael

Ryan is a graduate of Valley View High school. He plans to attend Illinois Central College in the fall and will be on the Livestock Judging Team at ICC for two years then transfer to Ohio State. Ryan has shown pigs, goats and dairy in 4-H. After college, he plans to continue to raise and sell showpigs at Bona Vista Farm where he will be the 4th generation to do so.

 

Tyler Pratt

Tyler will be attending the University of Findlay in the Animal Science – Pre Vet Program.  After Findlay, Tyler plans to attend Vet School to become a large animal vet.

 

 

 

 

 

Mackenzie Hoog

Mackenzie plans to attend The Ohio State University this fall, majoring in agricultural communications with a minor in agricultural business. Throughout high school, Mackenzie has cheered for both football and basketball and ran track her freshman year. She enjoyed her time in high school clubs such as being the Class of 2020 president, vice-president of NHS, president of Interact, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Also, Mackenzie was heavily involved in her FFA chapter by not only being the vice-president but represented Ohio FFA as the State Reporter this past year. She was also honored to receive the title as the 2020 Ohio Fairs’ Queen. In her future, she hopes to expand her and other’s knowledge about the agricultural industry.

 

Caleb Black

Caleb was very involved in Pet Pourri 4-H club for 13 years and mainly showed dairy and market goats. Caleb will be graduating from Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical engineering next spring, then plans to attend Boonshoft School of Medicine. Caleb enjoys participating in a variety of athletics, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

 

 

 

Tyler Michael

Tyler is a graduate of Valley View High School. In the fall he will be attending Eastern Kentucky University and majoring in professional golf management. Tyler has been in 4-H all of his life and in the Valley View MVCTC FFA chapter and was this past year’s president. He is also a current member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. He greatly appreciates the support of Farm Bureau!

 

Taylor Thomas

Taylor is a sophomore at Wilmington College majoring in agriculture education and agriculture business. Taylor plans to become an ag education teacher after graduation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joshua Black

Joshua enjoys showing dairy wethers and dairy does for 12 years at the Montgomery County Fair. He plans to attend Sinclair Community College for two years, transfer from Sinclair to Wright State University to major in either computer engineering, music or art.
