The county Farm Bureau and FFA students from Oak Hill and Jackson high schools, along with many local businesses, provided a pancake and sausage breakfast to-go to all kids who came that morning.
Mrs. Claus assisted with food disbursement, and after picking up breakfast, children and their parents drove through the fairgrounds to see Santa and give him their letters. There also was a green screen that allowed children to get photos with Santa from the safety of their vehicles but with a festive background. Children also got to see longhorn cattle, alpacas, miniature donkeys and pigs, goats and more as they passed by.
United Dairy Producers provided free bottles of milk for the kids, and the breakfasts were donated by local restaurants providing food items and monetary donations. American Dairy Association Mideast and dairy farmers from West Virginia and Ohio donated all the items for a gift bag also given to children who attended the free community event.
