JD Vance, candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio, has been named a Friend of Farm Bureau by the organization’s Agriculture for Good Government Political Action Committee (AGGPAC).
“Mr. Vance has quickly grasped the issues facing Ohio Farm Bureau members and rural Ohio and has made it clear, through his actions, that he cares,” said Bill Patterson, president of Ohio Farm Bureau. “Vance’s philosophical views align with that of our membership and when faced with an issue critical for agriculture, JD will ensure we have a seat at the table and deliver our message.”
“Ohio farmers deserve a true fighter in the United States Senate – I will be that fighter,” Vance said. “After two years of radical Democrat control in Washington, D.C., Ohio agriculture is feeling the pain. Whether it’s energy prices, input costs, government over-regulation, or supply chain issues, every Ohioan, especially farmers, knows it’s time to change course. I’m very thankful for the Ohio Farm Bureau’s endorsement of my campaign, and for the trust they’ve placed in me to represent Ohio in the Senate.”
AGGPAC is a bi-partisan committee of Farm Bureau leaders appointed by the Ohio Farm Bureau president and is the legal entity to oversee and direct Farm Bureau’s engagement with farm-friendly candidates to help them win election or re-election to office.
The grants are designed to find creative ways to address challenges facing the agricultural sector today, and generate deeper public understanding of farming and the ways that agriculture impacts our nation and communities.
