Hamilton named Ohio Farm Bureau organization director
Arica Hamilton of Eaton has been named organization director for Ohio Farm Bureau and will serve members in Delaware, Franklin, Madison and Union counties.

The Franklin County Commissioners recently signed a proclamation declaring March 21-27, 2023 as National Agriculture Week. Organization Director, Melinda Lee, along with Franklin County Farm Bureau board members Dwight Beougher, Denise Johnson and President John Hummel presented each commissioner a basket filled with locally grown and produced items, as well as information regarding National Ag Week.
American agriculture plays a crucial role in strengthening our economy and in providing food for people, and it is our nation’s largest employer. We call upon citizens to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of all those who produce an abundance of agricultural products that strengthen and enrich our community and our nation.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.
I could not have done it without the resources I have found through Farm Bureau.
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
