Bike trip expands knowledge of apple farming
Gary and I, along with our friends Gary and Marie, recently took a trip to northwestern New York to bike some of the Erie Canal Trail.
Read MoreIt’s that time of the year again. The Geauga County Fair is quickly approaching, and that means we are busy planning our fair tent. We love sharing the story of agriculture with our community and we couldn’t do that without all of you. We are once again looking for volunteers to help make our tent memorable for all who visit. Agriculture is vital to all our lives, and it’s so important that we share that with others. Did you know that the majority of Americans are at least 3 generations removed from the farm? It’s so sad that so many people won’t ever experience the life that we all love.
Anyone who volunteers in the tent will receive a T-shirt and a ticket for entry into the fair. Tickets and T-shirts are only guaranteed for volunteers who sign up by Thursday, Aug. 24 due to getting tickets and shirts distributed.
We’re using SignUp (the leading online signup and reminder tool) to organize our upcoming activity.
We would love your help again this year in the Farm Bureau Tent at Geauga County Fair!
