Athens-Meigs County Farm Bureau hosts 3rd Annual Dinner on the Farm

Those invited were all Athens-Meigs Farm Bureau members as well as members in Meigs County, who received drought relief funds. Speakers from all the different ag organizations within the county discussed what they had to offer. Guests enjoyed dinner while listening to the various speakers and collecting their drought relief checks from the Meigs SWCD.
Jenny Ridenour with the Meigs SWCD kicked off the meeting by talking about what the Meigs SWCD office does and what they have to offer.
Michelle Stumbo with the Meigs OSU Extension was next. She talked about the various programs that the Extension office facilitates.
Kevin Lewis with USDA NRCS talked about the programs and opportunities that were available via NRCS.
Jordan Danford with USDA FSA reviewed all of the various programs that are facilitated via the county FSA offices and what programs that are coming up.
Ty Higgins, Senior Director of Communications and Media Relations with Ohio Farm Bureau, rounded out the evening with the importance of farmer mental health and the benefits of Ohio Farm Bureau membership!
It was a great evening and many of the landowners within the county gained valuable information for their various operations.
