Jason Hayes resides in Kingsville, Ohio with his wife, Amanda, and their two daughters, Abigail and Emily. Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture in 1999. He farms 50 acres of hay and raises 20 head of Angus cattle. Jason is also an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper. He has been a Farm Bureau member for seven years and has served on the Ashtabula County board of trustees for four years and as the co-chair of the public policy committee. Jason also has served on the budget, scholarship and Ag Day committees. He was a delegate for the 2016 Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in 2016 and will be a delegate in 2018.
“The Farm Bureau is a voice for agriculture in Columbus and Washington. I like being a voice for agriculture in Ashtabula. Interacting with members and the board at events and functions has been educational and beneficial. There is a lot of work that goes on in the Farm Bureau and it is fun to be a part of it.”
