Read MoreJesse Whinnery of Coshocton has been elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. He will represent the interests of members from Coshocton, Holmes, Knox and Licking counties. His election took place Dec. 7 during the 100th annual meeting of the state’s largest general farm organization.
Whinnery, who runs a small sheep farm and hay operation, is an eight-year member of Coshocton County Farm Bureau, serving as its president for the last five years. He also served on the Ohio Farm Bureau public policy committee in 2016 and the OFBF code committee in 2018.
He is a dairy nutrition specialist in east central and southeast Ohio for Agri-King Livestock Nutrition and a member of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists. In his community, Whinnery is involved in the Maria Hay Forbes Center, Warsaw Lions, Friends of the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum and the Coshocton Footlight Players.
Whinnery earned an associate’s degree in horticulture from Ohio State University ATI and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State. He has two children.
