Thursday, April 26, 2018, the Norwayne FFA Chapter held its 65th annual FFA Banquet. Many of our FFA members had received awards for various CDEs (Career Development Events) such as: Soil Judging, Parliamentary Procedure, Food Science, Job Interview, Public Speaking, Ag Sales, Livestock Judging, Equine Judging, Dairy Cattle Judging, Meat Judging and Agriscience Fair. A few of our members had received star awards for each of their grades. This year’s Honorary Members were Brian and Robin Croft and WG Dairy. We recognized the State and American Degree recipients as well as the officers who had gotten gold ratings on their books and proficiency awards. The new officer team was announced as well, and the Student Advisor is Kendra Marty, Sentinel is Michael Garrison, Reporter is Ellyssa Simmons, Treasurer is Annie Boss, Secretary is Carlie Schlatter, Vice President is Kendra Keener and President is Emily Croft. Thank you to all who came and supported our FFA Chapter.banquet

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
