Read MoreDuring the holiday season, the Mercer County Farm Bureau spearheaded a thank you to hospital workers in the county who have gone above and beyond to support the community during these unprecedented times.
The county Farm Bureau arranged for each member of the Mercer Health staff to receive a “thank you” bag which included snacks and other materials to help lift their spirits during this difficult time. Farm Bureau members worked with great sponsors to help make fulfilling all 600 employees’ thank yous possible. Bag supporters were Cooper Farms, Ohio State University Extension-Mercer County, the Cornett-Dunkle Insurance Agency, the Jordan Agency, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles-Celina, Bud’s Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram, and the Parkway FFA.
“The county Farm Bureau felt very strongly about wanting to give back to our community during the holiday season, especially this year as things are increasingly difficult on all of us,” said Jill Smith, organization director of Mercer County Farm Bureau. “We felt like supporting our front-line workers was an ideal way to thank them for all the hard work they are doing keeping our community safe.”
